Go Inside Emmy Sharrett's Dramatic Hot Mic Moment: "They're Trying to Make You Look Bad"
Emmy Sharrett took a tense private phone call during Southern Hospitality — but her microphone picked up every word.
We're still just getting started with Southern Hospitality Season 3, but it's already shaping up to be a tough year for Emmy Sharrett. Following an expletive-filled meltdown in Episode 2 and rumors continuing to spread about her relationship, Emmy's rant about the ongoing drama was picked up during a hot mic moment in Episode 4.
During dinner at Lake Rucker's lake house, Emmy was confronted with a group conversation about her boyfriend, Will Kulp, allegedly saying some not-so-nice things about her. Soon enough, she decided to storm off and hide in the bathroom to call her beau. Though she closed the door, her microphone was still on — and we heard every word of the conversation.
“What’s wrong?” Will asked, to which his girlfriend replied that she wanted to call an Uber and get out of there.
“I don’t want to deal with these people," she said. "They don’t care about me."
When Will asked what happened, Emmy answered, “They're trying to make you look bad. I’m alone here."
When Will offered to come and get his girlfriend, she graciously accepted.
“Everyone was in on it. Everyone," she continued through tears. "They’re saying that 'Will said you’re not the love of his life and that you don’t make him happy.'"
“That’s bulls--t," Will said. "I’m f--king disappointed with all those boys.”
Emmy Sharrett defends Will Kulp after he publicly vented about her
While everyone was supposedly coming from a place of love for Emmy, she made a point that it's Will who knows her best and makes her happy. Talking badly about him only hurts her.
“They don’t make me happy. I’m happy with you. Why does no one get that? I just don’t want to be here anymore," she said. “It was one night. And I have gotten drunk and said things that I didn’t mean. And I forgave you for it.”
Soon enough, Will's brother pulled up to take Emmy away from the lake. As promised, she was incredibly relieved to see him.
The Southern Hospitality cast explains why they confronted Emmy about Will's comments
Despite Emmy not wanting to hear what they had to say, most of the cast agreed it was a necessary conversation to have.
Lake declared, “I’ve said this before. If my man is talking s—t about me, they shouldn’t be together."
"This is going down exactly how everyone feared it would. In the past when anyone confronts Emmy about any sort of relationship issue, she immediately deflects and freaks the f--k out,” TJ Dinch added in a confessional. “So, I was hoping her reaction would be different, being that this isn’t just a rumor this time. There are people at this table who have heard things that have come from Will’s mouth.”
What did Will Kulp say about Emmy Sharrett?
During Episode 3, TJ and Bradley Carter broke down what Will had been saying about Emmy.
In separate confessionals, they each claimed Will complained about Emmy only caring "about herself," not having ambition, being insensitive, not listening, and more.
Bradley added, "[Will said], 'I'm not sure that's someone that I want to be with.'"
