Erika Girardi On Why She Cried This Season

Things get a little ugly (cry) for Erika Girardi this season on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills with the singer showing a softer side of herself. She not only broke down in front of her mom during an emotional sit-down, but also while chatting with Kyle Richards about their moms. And as previously teased, she'll really cry during a heated exchange.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Bravo on Wednesdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

While she's spent part of this season defending her reserved demeanor, these moments are certainly a 180 from the Erika viewers normally see. So, what pushed Erika to this new emotional place this season?

"I've had my moments this year. I cry this year. I didn't want to. Those tears are out of pure anger and frustration and all of those things that had been bubbling and they finally culminated in tears," she explained to The Daily Dish. "It finally just kind of exploded."

Erika and Kyle Get Emotional Talking About Their Mothers

While fans may be surprised by seeing Erika's more emotional side, she notes that it shouldn't be too shocking. "I think it's very easy to get caught up in the cars and the glamour and in Erika Jayne, but at the end of the day, we're all human," she said. "And I think that the audience gets to see a little bit more of who I am. I'm just a regular human being with struggles and fears and family stuff just like everyone else."

But let's never forget that Erika is also feisty, as you can see below.
