Exclusive Video: Art Smith's Weight-Shedding Workout Routine
Hit the gym with the 'Top Chef Masters' star who's lost 120 pounds.
Talking about losing isn't really something that the competetive chefs on Top Chef Masters often do. They're programmed to be the best, to win challenges. But this season is a little different for TCM alum Art Smith -- since his first stint on the show back in season one, Art's dropped 120 pounds and is back for season four lean, mean... well, no, he's not mean at all. But he's certainly lean.
In this exclusive video, Art takes our cameras into the gym with him for an exclusive look at how he dropped pretty much an entire person from his figure. If you've watched Art at all this season, you know energy isn't something he's lacking, and that follows him onto the treadmill. Yes, he runs, but you should also check out how he incorporates some sweet dance moves into his treadmill routine.
In an interview with PEOPLE, Smith says that without his weight loss, competing in season four would have been impossible. "Filming in 110-degree heat, I never could've done it ... I'd run 16 miles [a day] in the desert in Las Vegas," he tells the magazine.
Art goes on to say that it's not just competition that he's getting a boost in from his newfound fitness.
"I'm 52, I'm no young chicken ... I need my legs and my knees for my restaurant." Kudos, Chef.
