Princess Diana and Prince Charles Are About to Get the Ryan Murphy Treatment
The infamous royal couple will reportedly be the subject of the AHS creator's next series.
Move over Bette and Joan, there's a new feud in town. Ahead of the premiere of Feud: Bette and Joan , which will focus on the iconic drama that went down between screen legends, Joan Crawford and Bette Davis, comes word that the anthology series has already been renewed for a second season.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the next installment of the Ryan Murphy-created show will focus on two of Britain's most famous royal exes (no, not King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn): Prince Charles and Princess Diana. Consider us already sold on the idea — even before we find out who will step into those figures' shoes yet.
The EW report goes on to note that the series will likely debut in 2018, putting it in competition with Season 3 of Netflix's The Crown, which will likely also include Princess Diana at that point in its timeline. Feuding Dianas? Now that sounds like some interesting drama on our TV screens. For now, however, fans can check out Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon as Joan and Bette, respectively, when the premiere season of Feud premieres on FX this weekend.
