Fredrik Eklund Gets Real About Family Life After Moving to Miami: “Can’t Keep Up”
The MDLNY and MDLLA alum reflected on the "challenge" of being a parent in his new life in Florida.
Fredrik Eklund, Derek Kaplan, and their kids, Milla and Freddy Jr., finally sold their Beverly Hills house and have been settling into their home in Miami. Though Fredrik was happy to relocate to the Sunshine State last year with his husband and their twins, he's still taken some time to adjust, noting in August 2023 how "overwhelming" the move was.
More recently, the Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles and Million Dollar Listing New York alum reflected further on his family's adjustment to Florida, celebrating Father's Day with a sweet selection of photos of his children in a June 16 Instagram post.
"The kids just finished kindergarten and it’s officially summer!" Fredrik began in the post of his adorable kids, who smiled for the camera in cute get-ups.
The Florida dad shared how "proud" he was of his kids, noting how the two kids already have "so many new friends in Miami" they like to play with. "I can’t keep up with their social life and all the play dates," he added.

"I know in my heart they are well behaved and how hard we work to make them hopefully polite and grateful too. I will never give up on them ending a sentence with please and thank you if they want something, call me old school but we’re strict that way," Fredrik shared.
The proud dad further revealed his feelings about the "challenge" of being a parent: "How do we give them so much without giving them too much? How do we fill them with so much love without spoiling them? I ask myself that every day," he wrote.
Still, Fredrik noted how "good" the summer months were for spending "quality time together" as well as "outdoor time in nature" in the southern U.S. state.
"Happy Father’s Day to all the dads," he concluded his post.
Fredrik Eklund details selling his Beverly Hills home and moving to Miami
The photo share of his two kids comes after the realtor announced his Beverly Hills home sold for just under $10 million in a June 4 Instagram post. Fredrik detailed the "beautiful memories" he and his family had in the home.
"What a bittersweet day. Today we closed on our house in Beverly Hills and I have mixed emotions but mostly grateful," Fredrik began in the post that featured various photos that showed off the gorgeous renovations he and his husband performed on the space.
He concluded his post: "The house holds so many beautiful memories and I know how happy the new owner will be - congrats all around!"
