Gia Giudice Sheds New Light on Her Career Journey: “I’m Not a Lawyer”
Teresa Giudice's daughter is in the process of securing her dream job — and working hard to get there.
Since first meeting Gia Giudice when she was a child on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, we've watched her grow up before our very eyes. Now, Teresa Giudice's eldest daughter is a full-on adult who is carving her own path — a very successful one at that.
During Season 14, Episode 11 of RHONJ, which aired Sunday, July 21, Gia gave an update on her career journey. As fans might know, the Jersey girl long ago announced her plan to become a lawyer, and the episode showed her working her way toward that goal.
In the episode, Teresa brought Gia a snack to help get her energy up while she studied for the LSAT. The 22-year old noted that she’d planned on taking a month off from her job to study for the law school entrance exam, which is offered seven times a year.
After Teresa shared how proud she is of her firstborn, she asked Gia what her dad, Joe Giudice, thinks of her career plans.
“He’s so happy. He already calls me a lawyer, I’m like ‘I’m not a lawyer,'” Gia answered.
But maybe someday!

Teresa Giudice opens up about Gia's career journey
“If Gia wants to become a lawyer, she becomes a lawyer,” explained Teresa in a confessional, noting that her eldest would actually be the first lawyer in the family. "Joe didn't graduate high school. He got his GED. I only went to college for two years. And my vocabulary’s not that great. It’s okay. But look at my kids,” she added.
Still, Teresa says her daughters (Teresa and Joe also share daughters Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana) do get their drive from their mama.
"My daughters take after me," added Teresa. "They're hard workers. They're not lazy. They're go-getters."
Gia Giudice Decided to Be a Lawyer Because of Her Father
If you’re a fan of RHONJ, you might know the background of Gia’s career trajectory. She decided she wanted to pursue immigration law after her father was deported to Italy after serving 41 months in prison.
While the exact type of law she'll practice is now up in the air, she'll always have a soft spot for the work.
“Gia got into immigration law because of what happened with her dad, but she’s still thinking about what kind of law she wants to get into. She’s very focused. I’m a proud mommy of four beautiful daughters,” Teresa explained during Season 14, Episode 2.
The proud mom also gave another important update on her oldest daughter.
“Gia graduated from Rutgers with a criminal justice degree and she moved back home,” Teresa shared. “She was working for an immigration firm, and now she’s working in corporate law.”
Where Did Gia Giudice Go to College?
Gia attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey for her undergrad. She graduated in 2023 with a Bachelors degree in criminal justice.
After graduation, Gia moved back home to work and study for the LSAT — just like we're seeing on this season of RHONJ. She's also enjoying her thriving career as an influencer.
Will Gia Giudice Become a Lawyer?
While Gia's career journey is entirely her own decision, she previously said that law school is "still in the cards" as she continues to explore her career as an influencer.
"I think there's a lot of pressure coming out of school [to get] everything done right away,” she told OK! Magazine in December 2023. “Everyone kind of expects you to have all the answers, especially in the public eye. I'm just taking it one day at a time and I'm kind of just doing what makes me happy."
