Gina Kirschenheiter Opens Up on the "Sacrifices" She Made During Her Divorce
The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member got candid about changing her lifestyle in a preview for Season 18, Episode 3.
Gina Kirschenheiter may have gotten coffee with Jennifer Pedranti in the hopes of getting back on the same page following the latter Real Housewives of Orange County cast member's eviction, but it doesn't look like the ladies will be bonding over lattes any time soon.
In a preview for Season 18, Episode 3, which will air on July 25, viewers can see the aftermath of Gina and Jennifer's explosive café chat.
After calling out Jennifer for continuing to get her hair and makeup done (while failing to pay her rent), Gina walks out to her car to call castmate Emily Simpson.
"I'm actually in a situation where I'm not waiting on a check from my ex," Gina tells Emily in the clip above, comparing Jennifer's split from her own 2019 divorce from Matt Kirschenheiter.
As Gina says in an interview on the episode, she made a lot of lifestyle changes when she was navigating her separation.
"When I went through my divorce, I downsized. I did live in a casita," she explains in an interview on the episode about her former studio abode, which she lived in when Matt was staying in their Coto de Caza home. "You have a lifestyle and you have a marriage. And when that is over, that comes with sacrifice. And she isn't even willing to downsize her home when she clearly can't afford it."

While Gina couldn't understand how Jennifer was processing her divorce, the Long Island native was also upset because she helped Jennifer find the rental home she ultimately got evicted from.
During the RHOC Season 18 premiere on July 11, Gina said Jennifer's eviction severed her relationship with the real estate agent who rented out the property.
When Gina had another listing, that same real estate agent wouldn't return her phone calls.
"I had a deal lined up and I had to get a cash buyer, and I had to get a cash buyer quickly, and I knew that this agent would likely be able to bring that to me, and I couldn't even get her to text me back," Gina told Emily on the premiere.
Gina missed out on a commission when the deal collapsed. "That cost me $50,000 when that deal fell apart," she lamented.
"I'm new to real estate and I'm trying to build up my book of business," Gina shared on the premiere about why Jennifer's eviction felt so personal to her. "This is the livelihood of myself and my children. This is the roof over my head."
In an interview, Gina noted that she was "sympathetic to what Jen is going through."
"But it's one thing to burn me as a friend," she continued. "You take food off my kids' plate, and it's a problem."
