Heather Dubrow cut the sushi party at her home short in the December 8 episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County after she learned from Gina Kirschenheiter that her friend, Nicole, had once been involved in a lawsuit against her husband, Dr. Terry Dubrow. Once Gina broke the news to Heather, which she had heard from Shannon Storms Beador and promised not to bring up, some major drama erupted at the event among Heather, Shannon, and Gina, as well as between Nicole and Emily Simpson.

How to Watch

Gina commented on all the chaos that night during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on December 8, first explaining why she thinks Emily got so upset at Nicole that night. "It doesn't take much. You know what, her trigger button is, you can't call her stupid. She worked very hard for her education," Gina shared in the above clip. "And she's worked very hard, and she's a very smart woman. That's not gonna happen with Emily."

She then responded to a fan who said that it seemed like she "couldn't wait to run to Heather to spill the tea." "No, I mean, I waited, like, a bit. It was like, I don't know, like, 12 hours," Gina joked. "I totally waited."

Andy Cohen asked Gina if she now wishes she hadn't told Heather about the lawsuit. "No, I don't regret it," she said. "I recognize [in] hindsight, the timing wasn't amazing. Like, I really messed that dinner party up, but it's OK."

In regards to why Gina decided to tell Heather that night at her party, she admitted "that wasn't great." As we saw, the moment definitely shifted the tone of the evening, with Heather even walking away from her own party for a bit. And when she returned to her guests, she expressed how disappointed she was with Gina and Shannon, with Gina seeming to receive the brunt of her frustrations.

However, Gina said on WWHL that she actually wasn't surprised that Heather seemed angrier with her than Shannon at that time. "No, you know what, I really felt like I understood, I knew that she was confused about what was going on, and I was just allowing her to have that moment," Gina said. "And I was really hoping that we could source it out later."

Heather did work things out with Nicole that night at her party as she and Terry talked to her about the past lawsuit, which was ultimately dropped. "This was not even a real thing. It never went anywhere. It was almost like a misunderstanding, I think," Terry told Heather after the party. "And when you became friends with her, I didn't even know. It's never come up. It's not a thing."

As for Gina and Heather, they eventually cleared the air as well. Gina apologized to Heather while out to lunch, along with Emily, at the end of the December 8 episode of RHOC, explaining where she was coming from in bringing that information to her at the party that night.

Heather accepted the apology, and with this new context, she understood Gina's motivation in mentioning the lawsuit. "When I met Gina, we connected immediately," Heather said in an interview during the episode. "What happened at my party was confusing and disappointing, I'm so glad there was an explanation. I'm absolutely ready to move on."
