It's the most wonderful time of year — for entertainment lovers, that is. If the broadcast of the Critics' Choice Awards Sunday night didn't tip you off that it's awards season, the announcement of the 2017 Golden Globe Awards nominations definitely will.

Anna Kendrick, Don Cheadle, and Laura Dern announced the nominations live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California Monday morning. The Golden Globe nominations and award winners are selected by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and celebrate the best in film and television of the year.

Damien Chazelle's jazz musical La La Land leads the pack in the film category with seven nominations, including Best Motion Picture, Musical, or Comedy and best acting nods for stars Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling. Two other buzzy movies this year, Moonlight and Manchester by the Sea, followed with six and five nominations, respectivaly, including Best Motion Picture, Drama.

For TV, two of this fall's most-talked-about new shows, This Is Us and Westworld, scored nominations in the Best Television Series, Drama category, as well as honoring stars Mandy Moore and Chrissy Metz and Evan Rachel Wood and Thandie Newton, respectively. Emmy darling The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story also got a lot of Golden Globes love with five total nominations, including Best Television Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television, as well as nods for stars Courtney B. Vance, Sterling K. Brown, John Travolta, and Sarah Paulson.

Jimmy Fallon is set to host the 2017 Golden Globe Awards ceremony, which airs Sunday, January 8 on NBC. While we wait to see who takes home some hardware, check out the full list of nominations for the 2017 Golden Globes, below.
