Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi Opens Up About Being Pregnant in Self-Quarantine
"I was not expecting to be in this position," the Shahs of Sunset mom-to-be said.
Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi is opening up about getting ready to welcome her first child while in self-quarantine. The Shahs of Sunset cast member, who will welcome a baby boy this month, recently offered an update on her pregnancy, sharing what food cravings she’s been experiencing and how her family has been a source of support throughout this period of self-isolation.
During her April 24 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen @ Home, GG revealed that while she hasn’t experienced any particular pregnancy cravings, her parents have been keeping her well-fed while in self-quarantine.
“I’m really lucky because, this quarantine, my parents are basically staying with me,” she said. “So I have a homecooked meal, three or four times a week, which is amazing.”
Despite having her mom and dad to rely on, GG acknowledges that preparing to give birth amid the coronavirus pandemic has been anxiety-provoking. “Emotionally, I definitely was not expecting to be in this position. I would say the last two months have weighed a little heavily on me because I haven’t been able to interact with my friends or had that physical support of friends being around,” she said.
She went on to explain, “And knowing I can’t have all my family with me in the hospital to see my son as soon as he is born, it makes me really sad. It makes me sad.”
While being pregnant during these uncertain times has been challenging, GG says that her pending motherhood has helped bring her closer to her sister. “It’s changed a lot,” she said of their relationship. "She’s been so helpful She practically put my whole nursery together on her own. It’s gotten a lot better.”
