See the "Surreal" Moment When Gretchen Rossi Felt Her Daughter Kick for the First Time
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum shared the intimate video of her pregnancy with Instagram followers but noted she was an "ugly crier."
It's been a long and arduous journey to pregnancy for Gretchen Rossi. The Real Housewives of Orange County alum and her fiancé, Slade Smiley, encountered obstacles along the way and underwent many treatments in their quest to start a family, including a vasectomy reversal and IVF. Now that the couple is finally expecting their daughter, they're celebrating each and every milestone of Gretchen's pregnancy along the way.
On March 12, Gretchen shared a special video on Instagram with her followers. Noting that the video was taken at 20 weeks pregnant, on the same night as her gender reveal party in February, she wrote, "I felt her kick for the first time!!!! And it was the most surreal moment ever for me! I can’t believe I am actually sharing this video with you all because I seriously look like a hot mess, I am an ugly crier, & oh I have the ugliest pj’s known to man on in this video, (because I sleep in oil every night, so I don’t get stretch marks) but it was 2:30 in the morning (the same night as the Gender Reveal Party) and it was the first time I felt her kick & of course I had to wake up Slade & tell him! (poor guy was sound asleep)."
Gretchen also issued a caveat to explain her emotional reaction to the intimate moment. "Now I know for most this may not seem like a big deal and millions of pregnant women before me have felt this, but since this whole journey has taken so long for us & sometimes I never even knew if I would ever feel this, this moment became even more sentimental and special for us.....and since you all have been such a big part of our pregnancy journey & encouraging us the whole way, I wanted to share this special moment of the first time I felt her kick with my social media family (even though I look cray cray in this video[)]."
The mom-to-be also recently revealed which Housewives have congratulated her so far, saying that from RHOC, "Lizzie [Rovsek], Lydia [McLaughlin], Peggy Tanous [and] Heather Dubrow reached out." The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Kyle Richards and The Real Housewives of Dallas' Brandi Redmond and Stephanie Hollman also congratulated her via social media as well.
