Gretchen Rossi’s First Christmas with Daughter Skylar Is Turning Out to Be Even More Magical Than We Imagined
The RHOC alum has a lot more to celebrate this year.
It's been about a year since Gretchen Rossi and her fiancé, Slade Smiley, announced that they were expecting their first child after they endured a long and painful journey with IVF. Now, The Real Housewives of Orange County alum and her longtime beau are celebrating their first-ever holiday season with their daughter, Skylar Gray, who just turned 5 months old.
Gretchen loves decorating for the holidays every year anyway, but this year she outdid herself with how she transformed their home into a winter wonderland even though they live in still-sunny Southern California. And Gretchen, Slade, and Skylar took the most magical holiday family photos, which Gretchen kindly shared with her Instagram followers.
"I have been dreaming for years to have a Christmas card like this, and my wishes finally have come true!" she wrote. "Last year we made the announcement to you all that we were pregnant and this year we are celebrating our first Christmas together! We feel so beyond blessed and loved by you all!"
Over the last few months, Gretchen has publicly and candidly shared the ups and downs of her experiences with new motherhood, including postpartum depression, but it's safe to say this holiday season is one of the highlights of a blessed year.
"So fun to have my baby girl help decorate our tree this year with me, in her “Santa’s little helper” onesie," she wrote in another post that reveals some of Skylar's best qualities. "She is just like her Mommy and she loves bling and sparkles!! She was so cute, because she helped put all the poinsettias on the tree. She would pick which one she wanted out of the box and then grab it & carry it over to the tree with me and I would help her place it in there. Nothing like sharing Christmas with a child. Everything makes her so happy and light up with joy!"
Skylar is so cute, we can't even. Can you even?
"Moments like these looking into my baby girls eyes and seeing a small reflection of myself is such an incredible blessing," she wrote as a caption to one of her favorite photos from the family holiday session.
Gretchen also had some inspiration to share for people who dream of becoming parents.
"I never knew if this day would ever come, but here it is....so don’t give up, keep trying, keep praying, keep researching the right path to your miracle.. whatever that road may be. Sending love and baby dust to any of you this Holiday that are wishing for a miracle of your own."
