Hannah Berner Says Her Engagement Was "All Because of" Luann de Lesseps
It sounds like the Countess channeled her inner cupid for the Summer House cast member.
It’s an exciting time for Hannah Berner. The Summer House cast member and Bravo’s Chat Room co-host announced her engagement to boyfriend Des Bishop on March 3, and it turns out someone very familiar played a role in the couple’s love story.
Shortly after Hannah and Des shared their news, Luann de Lesseps took to Instagram to say congratulations. The Real Housewives of New York City cast member shared a cheerful selfie with Hannah, writing, “Congrats! [Hannah Berner]! So happy for you! Can’t wait to meet him!”
In response to Luann’s sweet post, Hannah commented, “I love you so much Lu! Fun fact, he messaged me to go on our first date after I was out in Long Island with you. So, basically, it’s all because of you.”
Although Des asked Hannah out this summer, she explains that she had actually seen him preform a few years prior.
“He’s a comedian, and I had watched him like five years ago at a comedy club,” the bride-to-be shared on the premiere episode of Bravo’s Chat Room. “He DM’d me recently, and I was like, ‘Oh, that’s the funny, cute guy.’”
The couple plans to get married in the near future. “We want to get married sooner than later,” Hannah told PEOPLE. “He’s my best friend. Why wait?”
