Teresa Giudice is getting support from one of her Real Housewives of New Jersey castmates, Amber Marchese, before she heads to prison in January.
"I saw her at the reunion, and I do talk to her via text once in a while," Amber told Fox News. "I really reach out just to say 'Hey, how are you? Just thinking of you. Hoping you're okay and everyone is doing alright.'"
In October, Teresa was sentenced to 15 months in prison after pleading guilty to several counts of fraud back in March. Her husband Joe was sentenced to to 41 months in federal prison. The RHONJ star will serve her term at a facility in Danbury, Conn., the same one that inspired the Netflix series Orange Is The New Black.
She's concentrating on her children—I commend her for that.
Amber notes that right now Teresa's real focus is on her family. "She's doing what any mother would be doing," she said. "She's basically shutting the world out, and concentrating on her children. I commend her for that. I mean what else are you going to do? She's doing what needs to be done."
Amber is the most recent Housewife to come out in support of Teresa. Last month, Lisa Vanderpump echoed her statements in an interview.
"I have a lot of empathy for her situation regarding her children and the family, because I know she's absolutely a wonderful mother," Lisa said. "She worships the children, so I do feel sorry for her about that, I really do."
