Heather Dubrow's Lavish Cakes Are Edible Works of Art
Ain't no party like a Heather Dubrow party.
Real Housewives of Orange County fans know that no Heather Dubrow celebration is complete without a mouth-watering, gorgeous, unforgettable cake. These confections look so tasty that sometimes guests can't even wait for them to be served to have a little taste (Bow-gate, anyone?).
Heather has enlisted the help of It's All About the Cake for years to help make these amazing creations, she recently shared with The Daily Dish. The custom cake design studio and bakery, which is located in Dana Point, California, has helped make many Dubrow family celebrations truly special occasions, from birthdays to losing the first baby tooth to, yes, that stunning cake guest Sarah Winchester infamously ate the bow off of and caused a whole mountain of drama with Heather in Season 7 of RHOC.
Typically, Heather comes to It's All About the Cake with a theme in mind and then its team of designers makes that come to life, adding their own decorative flair to the concept, according to the shop. Cakes like the ones shown above usually take about three to six hours for the team to create and cost an estimated $250 to $500. "I love Heather and her husband [Terry Dubrow] and the family," It's All About the Cake owner Diane Richey told The Daily Dish. "They've been delightful, and we feel very privileged to do their cakes. And we've enjoyed doing their cakes."
It's All About the Cake has even wowed when it comes to more challenging requests from Heather. "As everyone knows, I love doing fun cakes, and since Tamra [Judge]'s training for a new bikini competition, I thought, 'Ugh, she's never gonna eat cake. Maybe we should do something funny with vegetables.' I go, 'No, I'm just gonna have the cake look like vegetables,'" Heather told The Daily Dish about organizing her RHOC castmate's birthday party in August. "But what was so funny was it was a real cake. It was made out of fondant and chocolate cake and the whole thing, and people thought I gave her vegetable cake, like real vegetables. And everyone was like, 'That's lame! How could you just give her vegetables?' So they did a really good job. It looked great."
Heather's daughters have also been spotted doing a bit of cake decorating of their own at Duff's Cakemix in Los Angeles.
Since they've grown up around so much cake-spiration, perhaps the Dubrow kids will be master cake designers in their own right one day.
