Heather Dubrow on RHOC: I'm the Greek Chorus
"It's a slice of life," she says of her role as a reality star.
Heather Dubrow is a woman of many skills. And on Monday morning, the Real Housewives of Orange County star headed to Good Day LA to show her flair for hosting a morning news show.
Naturally, the conversation turned towards Heather's role among the other 'Wives and her co-host for the day, Steve Edwards, had a few things to say about her life as a reality star.
"Every time I catch the show invariably there is a moment where you have your arms crossed and you’re looking at a blonde woman in disgust and contempt and saying 'You didn’t support me' and she says, 'You didn’t support me.' Every time I turn it on somebody's crying!" Steve told Heather, according to video posted on Radar.
Dubrow explained that people love to watch the show because it gives them a look into another world. "The truth is it's a slice of life," said Heather.
"It’s not a slice of life!” Steve exclaimed. But always ready for battle, Heather wouldn’t back down. "It is! It’s a slice of a piece of a life. And you know what? It’s entertaining," she said. "It takes people out of their lives."
As for her role among the other 'Wives, Heather tries to remain above all the drama. "I like to think of myself a little bit as the Greek chorus," she said, meaning she feels she's the equivalent of a newspaper's op-ed section. But ever the one to make sure she's understood, she clarified, "I'm not sure that's what the truth is. But I like to think of myself as that."
What do you think of Heather's comments? Do you think she's like the op-ed section of a newspaper? Sound off in the comments.
