Heather Gay joked her weight loss might be bringing her closer to one of the Salt Lake City Housewives.

Heather Gay has been on a weight loss journey, as she explained during the Season 5 premiere of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
Heather showed up to Lisa Barlow’s Besos party wearing a strapless pink leather dress under her coat, and was excited to show off the skintight outfit to the other ladies. When they asked her about her new look, she happily responded, “Ozempic, baby!”
Heather later added, “It’s been a long, overdue glow-up. Thank god for modern medicine, that’s all I can say.”
Fellow Housewife Mary Cosby also noticed the change, complimenting Heather on her looks. Heather laughingly pointed out this may take their friendship to a new level.
“I finally cracked the code,” she joked in her confessional. “I lost 25 pounds, and now Mary Cosby loves me! I’ve gone from inbred, to pretty and thin. This is the start of a beautiful relationship.”
Heather shares how weight loss changed her life
Back in November 2023, Gay first shared with PEOPLE magazine that she was taking Ozempic, the Type 2 diabetes medication, which is also FDA-approved to use for weight loss. She said it was “discouraging” to see people treat her differently when she lost weight.
“You lose five pounds, people are nicer to you,” she said. “I don’t know why. It’s just the way the world works, and that makes me sad for women. But I’m happy that I’m down five.”
Heather also shared how she’s navigating her weight loss journey while parenting her three young daughters, Annabelle, Ashley and Georgia, and said she wouldn’t discourage them from changing their own bodies.
“What we value at Beauty Lab, I value for my children, which is just that self-divination and informed consent,” she told PEOPLE. “If you want to change your lips, and it’ll change how you think of yourself, and how you act in the world, then please spend a little bit of money and a little bit of time and set it and forget it and move on and make some change in the world.”
