How Dr. Jackie Walters' Would Change 'Teen Mom'
The OB/GYN and Married to Medicine star wishes the show had a different spin.
Meet Dr. Jackie, one of the stars from Bravo’s Married to Medicine. The OB/GYN board certified doc runs a busy practice, has a husband and daughter by marriage, and is also a two-time breast cancer survivor. We’re guessing that the vivacious and gorgeous doc is almost sure to become a fan favorite especially when she refers to herself as Dr. Diva, as she does in a recent OK! magazine interview.
But Jackie was quick to add that the diva title was meant positively and not in a stethoscope-throwing kind of way.
“I carry myself in a way that represents all women, professional women, fun women, black, white, all women,” she explained to OK! “And I'm a realist. No matter what the problem brings, I can handle it. And I like looking good because I feel good. I'm not perfect every day but I try and aim for excellence.”
So, what does Jackie think of other pregnancy-related shows, like Teen Mom and 16 & Pregnant? She's not a fan.
"I wish that they could put a different spin on it," she said. "But, ok. It's an interesting show. We do see teen pregnancy but we definitely try to educate them that they don’t have to come back here for the next ten years pregnant. There are things you can do. Just talk about safe sex. I use the term a lot, 'the one-eyed monster' We want to keep him covered up! We want to keep the one-eyed monster covered until you’re married. Until you want another baby.”
Tune in to the series premiere of Married to Medicine Sunday, March 24th at 9/8c. Until then, watch Jackie give her advice on another very important topic -- douching.
