Will We See More of Inside Amy Schumer? Amy Tells All...
Amy's Snatched co-star Goldie Hawn also reveals the status of her project with Bette Midler and Diane Keaton.
Back in August 2016, Amy Schumer had folks buzzing when she shared the status of her TV show Inside Amy Schumer on Twitter. At the time, she said that “we aren’t making a show anymore.” And it seems that remains the case.
"No, we're not cancelled, which is cool. I'm psyched about the work I've been doing," she said on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, reiterating again that there are no new episodes on the horizon, but adding that she would consider a one-off special someday. "Totally. I honestly don't want to close that door. Exactly, that is my exact thinking."
Her movie mom, Goldie Hawn, also shut down expectations about a project with her The First Wives Club co-stars Bette Midler and Diane Keaton. In 2015, it was reported that the iconic threesome was going to team up again for a Netflix flick, Divanation, about "members of a once-popular singing group forced to reconnect after their volatile split and 30 year estrangement." Well, don't expect to stream that flick any time soon.
"It didn't work out," the Snatched star explained. "The script was flawed and no one was able really to fix it and everyone decided to let it go. And by the way, lots and lots of movies do that. Better not to do it if you can't make it better than the original movie. Then you don't want to do it. What's the point? It's a chance you take."
Ladies, thanks for the memories.
