So, Is Scheana Shay Really a "Middle-Aged Party" Girl at 34?

The Vanderpump Rules cast weighs in.

By Jessica Butler

This season of Vanderpump Rules has had its fair share of ups, downs, and dramatic moments. One of those moments stemmed from Scheana Shay filming a video with Brett Caprioni for his YouTube channel. When Brett made a specific comment about Scheana's age in their video, it resulted in one hot topic for the cast members during the After Show.

How to Watch

Watch Vanderpump Rules on Bravo Tuesdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app.

In the clip from their YouTube shoot, Brett introduced Scheana and said, "She's a little bit older than me. She's a middle-aged woman."

Finally, the cast had their chance to sound off on Brett's remark and whether or not Scheana should be considered middle-aged.

In the video above, Brett explains, "I didn't mean to say it like that." The SUR employee and personal trainer then says that he thinks middle-aged means being "in your 30s. I'm middle-aged. Like, I'm 31. You know what I mean?"

Brett adds, "I would say 30 or 40. I would say your 20s is just its own thing. 20s. And then, you get to 30 and you're like, 'Okay, 30s. Maybe I should be settling down, maybe I should start a family.' Sometimes, it doesn't work out that way. We live 'til about what? What is life expectancy? 75? 80, right, nowadays? So, you cut that in half. What is that? 40."

Although Brett has his own perspective on what middle-aged means, Scheana makes it clear that she could've thrown those words right back at him during the After Show.

She said, "He's also, like, two years younger than me. He's like the same age as me," adding, "He's not that much younger than me. Call me middle-aged, motherf--ker? Rude!"

Max Boyens spoke about Scheana's personality and how he thinks it has no relation to her age at all. He said, "She's business and she can party, so like, whatever. You know what I mean? Whatever age that is, good on you. She can party harder than I can sometimes."

Brett agreed and said that his statement was "very much centric to the idea that she was freezing her eggs. That's literally what it was about." He added that he didn't mean anything negative by it in the first place.

Check out the entire After Show conversation in the video above to find out what the cast really thinks.
