If rumors are true, Teri Hatcher's new address is a bit of a downgrade from Wisteria Lane. A recent Star Magazine story (via People) showed a photo of the Desperate Housewives actress in a van — and a corresponding headline claimed that the van was Hatcher's home.

According to the tabloid, the actress is "Broke & Homeless!" and "Living in Her Van!" So, how did Hatcher respond to the alarming scuttlebutt? "It's categorically false," the actress told KTLA's Sam Rubin in London. She went on to call the story: "Completely absurd ... I am not broke. I have done very well investing my money. I am not homeless and I am not living out of my van.”

So, that settles that. But, what is up with the mysterious van? As it turns out, Hatcher is shooting a YouTube series called Van Therapy, and paparazzi snapped an image of her on set.

"A couple of weeks ago, [Star] magazine reached out to my publicist to say, ‘We have these paparazzi photos of Teri at the beach,’ which, by the way, I was filming drivebys for my show,” Hatcher said. “They said they were going to run this story about me being broke, and I think they even used the word suicidal and homeless and whatever. And my lawyer and my publicist said, ‘Categorically not true, you can’t print that ...There’s nothing about this that’s true...’ And then they went and ran it anyway. And that is even more egregious that it was so purposefully hurtful.” Watch the actress' comments, below:

Hatcher is said to be considering possible legal action. And in the meantime, she'll keep up with her latest project. Take a sneak peek at Van Therapy in the clip below... but to be very clear: this is not a tour of Hatcher's home.
