Have you ever spent your nights wondering which of the supermodels is the most difficult? (Be honest, you have.)
Well if you do ponder these types of things, the Fashion Queens—Bevy Smith, Derek J and Miss Lawrence—now have the answer for you straight from Isaac Mizrahi himself. His pick? One of the fiercest to ever strut her stuff on a catwalk: Naomi Campbell.
"The hardest supermodel to work with?" he ponders while sitting down on the panel on an episode of Fashion Queens airing May 31. "Well, they all had their sort of difficulties. I would say Naomi was not the easiest girl to work with," he shares.
However if you could look past those "difficulties," as he called them, it sounds like it was worth it. "But, the dividends that paid off from Naomi Campbell," he shares. "But she just had to show up and it was perfect."
He then recalls what it was like to have a pre-show fitting with the legendary model. "You would do these long fittings on her, right. I promise you for hours, fitting, and she was very consciencious," he says. "She came to her fittings, and then the day of the show I was a mess backstage... and Andre would come in and say 'Naomi is coming to your show today, She is coming'."
"And I was like 'Oh, good. I'm so happy that Naomi's coming'," he continues. "I guess she had fun at the fitting, she liked the clothes and she would show up to the show."
If she didn't like the clothes, things would end up very differently. He shares, "Otherwise, someone would come in advance and say, 'Oh, sorry, Naomiís not coming'."
