Jeff Lewis Opens Up About Briefly Reconciling with Gage Edward for "About 12 Dates"

Flipping Out designers and former couple Jeff Lewis and Gage Edward tried to give their relationship another shot after splitting in 2019, according to Jeff. During a recent conversation on his SiriusXM show, the interior designer opened up about recently trying to make things work again with his ex.

"After I broke up with Scott [Anderson], about a month later Gage and I started dating. We went on probably about 12 dates, and we also spent a lot of time with [daughter] Monroe. I didn't bring it up at the time because I didn't really know what it was. I didn't know what it was, and I wanted us to kind of quietly figure it out. It didn't work out," Jeff recently said on his radio show. "The good news is we were able to heal."

Jeff shared more details about what he says it was like for them while they were dating each other again. "We were seeing each other for about three months. I wanna say it was like 12 dates, a couple sleepovers, a lot of dinners, and breakfasts with Monroe, and all of that. It was cool. I was having a great time. I felt like, 'Wow, maybe my family's coming back together,'" he said. "I was having a nice time. I thought we were doing well. And then he started pulling away, which is what he used to do, and I didn't understand it."

After Jeff says he tried to have a conversation about what was going on, Gage came back days later saying he just wanted to be friends.

When all was said and done, Jeff said that he has since walked away from this experience with the impression that he and Gage "don't speak the same language."

Now their daughter splits her time between her dads after reaching a custody agreement, Jeff confirmed earlier this year. Since Jeff and Gage aren't "dating" and spending time jointly with her, Jeff called seeing her less when she's spending time with Gage "a hard adjustment."
