Below Deck Sailing Yacht's Jenna Says Drama with Madison Felt 50 Times Worse Than What We See on TV
Jenna MacGillivray says she's "not the only one who felt" Madison Stalker was not "pleasant to work with."
Below Deck Sailing Yacht chief stew Jenna MacGillivray started off this season encountering some issues with third stew Georgia Grobler. But lately on the yacht, it seems like Jenna and her second stew, Madison Stalker, just can't seem to get along.
Jenna has pointed out what she has perceived to be Madison's low energy and poor attitude, while Madison has expressed feeling overworked and not properly managed. The chief stew even brought her concerns to Captain Glenn Shephard in the April 6 episode of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, and the two had a stern discussion with Madison about her performance (clip above).
Jenna elaborated on her frustrations with Madison during a recent interview with Heavy.com. “I really do feel like I tried with Madison and maybe it doesn’t seem that way, but I was really frustrated with the fact that you can see in all of our interactions that anything I was telling her to do about the job she rolled her eyes, she mocks the relationship with Adam [Glick] and me,” she explained. “She’s really the only crew member that acts that way.”
She said that Madison's attitude made it difficult to work with her, which is something that other people felt on the boat as well, according to Jenna. “I know that Madison is a good worker and she could be good at her job, but there was so much negativity about her being there that it wasn’t pleasant to work with her,” Jenna said. “I’m not the only one who felt that way.”
Jenna claimed that Madison "cried almost every day about various things," which the chief stew said she found to be "really dramatic" and "very tiring." “What you see on the show, imagine that times 50 and that’s what I dealt with every day with her and her attitude," Jenna said. "She really didn’t seem to want to be there."
She also didn't appreciate Madison "constantly ripping" on her relationship with Adam this season. “Would you want to work with someone who had these nasty feelings about you?" Jenna said. "She was going to everyone in the crew who would listen.”
Madison responded to Jenna's interview on Twitter on April 8, saying that she was "frustrated" because it seemed like the chief stew was "prioritizing" her relationship over her work. She also said that she "didn’t cry almost every day."
The second stew also said that she felt like she and Jenna "actually started out great, but then I just started getting s--t on."
