After recovering from coronavirus (COVID-19), Jennifer Aydin is using her platform to help others in need. The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom and her family have donated about 3,000 N95 masks to Bergen New Bridge Medical Center in her home state, and 2,000 to Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. 

On May 6, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy tweeted to thank the Aydin family for their help. “Jennifer Aydin and her daughter, Gabby, have recently recovered from COVID-19,” he tweeted. “Jennifer has donated roughly 3,000 N95 masks and has been busy trying to source PPE for the front-line and nursing home staff at @NewBridgeMedCtr.” 

Jennifer followed up in an Instagram post, explaining, “I couldn’t post about this until after Governor Murphy’s press conference today, but last Friday my family and I donated 3000 masks to the @newbridgemedicalcenter to help support the @njprf! With the collaboration of @firstladynewjersey and @govmurphy we decided to first start in my children’s hometown of Paramus. I want to thank all on the front lines—you are the legs we stand on and the true heroes.” 

She also shared a video of Governor Murphy's press conference on Twitter. 

In another post, Jennifer described the Aydin family’s day at Lenox Hill Hospital. 

“Day recap! We donated 2,000 masks to Lenox Hill Hospital. After being fortunate enough to recover from Covid-19, I wanted to do something positive. We are all in this together and there are happy endings,” she wrote. “I am grateful to be here and proud to pay it forward.” 

Jennifer also provided an update on her health, explaining that she took the antibody test. “The results came back positive (no surprise there) so I just signed up @HackensackUMC to donate my blood. Let’s see what happens…” she wrote.
