How to Watch

The dad of two accompanied his fiancée, Jennifer Pedranti, when she appeared on the October 31 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohenand he revealed what it was like for the pair when he was named in a news report about his friend, Matt, who is a bookie.

"You know, I have to be honest, Andy [Cohen], this happened to Jenn and I over a year ago from my closest friend," Ryan explained. "And [he] and his family are going through something very real and I'm proud of him for taking full ownership and responsibility."

Ryan said that the matter became really difficult for the two once the news article came out.

"But, when it came to light for Jenn and I from, let's call it a media standpoint, it was definitely tough... It rocked our world," he continued. "Because I had already gone through, let's call it, two different conversations I had had regarding my friend Matt, and then from there, six months later, it hit the news. And that was tough for Jenn and me."

What is Ryan Boyajian's job?

Jennifer's fiancé said of his career, "My job hasn't changed. I've been in the real estate mortgage finance world for the past 20 plus years. I've done real estate development for the last seven years solid, so some of the commentary questions Jenn and I have a good time with."

Ryan's career sparked some questions on The Real Housewives of Orange County after Jennifer discussed his career with castmates Katie Ginella and Shannon Storms Beador.

"Well, nothing now," explained Jennifer of Ryan's job role. "He did mortgage for years and years, and then he's done real estate development since then. But nothing, like, there's no office. He just kind of, um... I feel like he just sits around and like plays in the sunshine. He kind of lives the dream life, I always tell him."

Jennifer Pedranti shared what was "surprising" about Ryan Boyajian's legal drama

The mom of five revealed which of her castmates reached out to her once the news article about Ryan came out.

"I think what was surprising for me is when this actually happened, I had actually gone to lunch with Gina [Kirschenheiter] and Emily [Simpson], and I had told them, like we knew this article was coming out, we knew it was coming," Jennifer said on WWHL. "And then the article did come out, and for Ryan and I, it was shocking the way that it read...."

"I think what was surprising was I heard from everyone — like even if we're in a bad spot, if something big like this happens, you check on a friend. And Tamra [Judge] and Emily were the two that I didn't hear from," Jennifer continued. "I just felt like, 'Wow, you know, with everything going on, right or wrong, or if we are involved or not involved, like you still check on someone.'"

Jennifer Pedranti defends the "money launderer" joke

The orange holder also weighed in on the comments Ryan's friend, Matt, made on the RHOC Season 18 finale about how he is a money launderer who may be going to prison.

"If you knew Matt, it's like, that’s his personality…" Jennifer said, noting that Matt was joking. "And I agree, and Matt and I have had this conversation. I didn’t love it, but that’s his personality.”

How does Ryan Boyajian know Jo de La Rosa?

As viewers saw in the RHOC Season 18 finale, Ryan has a long-standing connection to Season 1 cast member, Jo De La Rosa. She attended Ryan and Jennifer's engagement party.

On WWHL, Ryan shared that Jo used to work for him at Irvine Company (and that's what she was doing when she appeared on RHOC).

"Jo worked for me as my assistant 20 years ago," he said. "Jo's first season of filming, she was my assistant, and she tried to get the approval to film, and obviously Irvine Company back then wouldn't let her film, but that's when she was on the show."

As a result, Ryan also got to know Jo's then-boyfriend, Slade Smiley.

Ryan Boyajian defends his relationship with Jennifer Pedranti

Elsewhere on WWHL, Ryan also shared his take on what it's been like to watch Jennifer's castmates critique their relationship.

"You know, Jenn and I live under our roof and in our relationship, so we appreciate the concern, but we're in great shape and, yeah, [we're] grateful," he said.
