Jill Zarin Dons Purple to Stop Bullying
NY Housewife shows support for LGBT community.
Jill Zarin is tired of bullying. On Wednesday, The Real Housewives of New York City star wore purple as part of the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation's (GLAAD) mission to end anti-gay teasing and harassment.
"No child should be victim of bullying, and as parents, we need to teach our children that everyone deserves to be accepted for who they are," Jill told HollywoodLife.
And what better place to flash her fashionable support than Twitter? Jill posted a photo of herself at home wearing a purple shirt, and captioned it, "I am wearing purple today to end anti-LGBT bullying, tweet pics of you in purple too!"
She then rallied up her Twitter troops by writing, "Let's start a STOP cyberbullying group. We would identify the bullies, then block, report and inform their employer! Who would join?"
Hit them where it counts – in the wallet. Smart thinking, Mrs. Zarin.
The Manhattan do-gooder was joined by her Garden State neighbor in the fight to end bullying. The Real Housewives of New Jersey's Dina Manzo tweeted, "I'm wearing a purple t 2 clean out my garage right now but will put on a fancy purple top for an event in the city tonight~Who's else is in?"
Continuing to champion the cause, Jill will host the 9th Annual GLAAD OUT Auction in November.
