Real Housewives of Miami star Joanna Krupa's love of animals has always been evident. The Polish-born model is a staunch supporter of the animal rights group PETA and has even appeared nearly-nude in three of their ads.

Now it seems that the Miami Housewife is taking her deep love of animals to a new level by opening up an animal shelter with a pal.

Joanna has teamed up with friend Gabi Gutierrez for Angels for Animal Rescue, a non-profit that will rescue pets from troubled households. So far, the two are helping relocate everything from a boa named Mai Tai to a family of baby rabbits to several adorable dogs and cats. (Check out available animals here.)

"I am thrilled that my dream of having my own rescue is happening and now it's time to make it explode so we can save thousands of animals," Krupa, who become interested in rescue after seeing a video on the horrors of the fur trade, shared on Facebook.

Joanna's latest project isn't the only big life change she's experienced recently. In June, she got married to boyfriend Romain Zago, which will be featured on the new season of RHOM, premiering August 12 at 9/8c on Bravo.
