Joe Benigno and Bill Aydin Address Breaking Guy Code and Defend Their Wives
The RHONJ husbands addressed the consequences of a recent boys' night on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
When the husbands of The Real Housewives of New Jersey joined Andy Cohen for a special episode of Watch What Happens Live, Bill Aydin and Joe Benigno opened up about something that’s pretty sacred for these Garden State guys: boys’ night.
When a viewer asked if Joe was “pissed at Bill for telling Jennifer what you said about Evan [Goldschneider] during boys’ night” (clip in the Tweet below), Margaret Josephs’ husband got super real. “Actually yes," Joe said. "Because that’s boys’ night and boys’ code, and you’re not supposed to break that s--t.”
Bill shared his rebuttal, adding, “I think we all have loose lips sometimes. I think Joe had his lips loose at some point, so…” And when Joe Gorga suggested that perhaps tequila was at play, Bill agreed, “It’s the tequila. That’s right.”
The men also had the opportunity to defend their wives in a game of “Defend! Your! Housewife!” Joe had Margaret’s back for a comment she made about Jennifer Aydin’s lip liner, to which Bill laughed and said, “I think my wife looks pretty good.”
Joe also defended Margaret for telling Jennifer that Bill is her “meal ticket.” “She has an unlimited budget, right? She keeps on telling everyone she can spend whatever she wants as much as she wants as often as she wants. She’s got the unlimited super deluxe black card,” he said. Bill had a simple response: “Listen, any woman who gives you five kids gets all the carte blanche.”
