Josh Altman Is Going to Have a "Tough" Time with One Part of Being a New Parent, According to Tracy Tutor Maltas
Luckily, the Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles mom of two is here to help.
Tracy Tutor Maltas may be the new kid on the block this season of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, but she's been rolling with this crew for quite some time. She's worked with James Harris and David Parnes in the past, and she currently works at Douglas Elliman with Josh Altman.
When Tracy and Josh teamed up on the Manhattan Beach listing earlier this season of MDLLA (clip above), you may have noticed that their banter was more like what you would see between siblings, not colleagues. It's no surprise then that Tracy considers Josh to be "a bit of a brother" to her. "We bicker and fight, and I like to kind of give him a hard time," she told The Daily Dish earlier this season. "I like watching him get flustered around me, which is always fun."
After knowing Josh for years, Tracy was able to spill some secrets about the MDLLA agent to The Daily Dish. "Josh Altman is a big softie, for sure. Off the air, with his wife and his daughter and really even with me, he's not as tough as he appears. There are layers to Josh Altman, I think, a lot of his fans are gonna have a good time getting to know this season now that he has a daughter and obviously he's married," she shared. "So I think that softer side to him is gonna appeal to a lot of people. You can't be so tough guy all the time."
As we see Josh prepare to welcome his first child, Alexis Kerry Altman, who is now 7 months old, with wife Heather Bilyeu Altman this season of MDLLA, Tracy said that we'll see a new side to the broker we thought we already knew so well. Parenthood changes everything, after all. "It's actually been fun watching him figure it all out and also the balance. It's tough," Tracy said. "So I think that relationship of him kind of having and understanding what that means, as well as struggling with it just like I do as a mother, is something that I think will appeal to his audience and the people that love him. There's more than just one side to all of us."
We've already seen that finding that perfect work-life balance has already been difficult for Josh this season, and now that he's a dad, it's not about to get any easier, Tracy warned. "I said, 'Listen, you're gonna have to understand what it means to turn it off.' I said, 'You're gonna have very little time with your daughter because of the nature of our job.' And I said, 'So you're going to have to cut out at five o'clock and go home and spend those couple of hours with your daughter and bathe her and put her to bed, and then you can get back to work if you have to until 10 or 11 o'clock at night," Tracy, who is a mother herself to two daughters, said of the parenting advice she gave Josh. "But you have to carve out that time because if you don't, you're gonna miss it. It flies. And I think he gets that."
