Justin Timberlake Does "The Carlton" Dance Because He Has as Much Nostalgia for the '90s as You Do
It's even more epic than you can imagine.
Justin Timberlake could make anything look incredibly cool. Don't believe us? Well, just take a gander at the superstar singer doing "The Carlton," the lovably dorky dance move immortalized by Carlton Banks on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and try to tell us otherwise.
JT did the dance with none other than Carlton himself, Alfonso Ribeiro, the actor who portrayed the character on the beloved '90s sitcom, during the American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe on Saturday. They were also joined by Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry, and they certainly brought swagger to the links.
The grand finale of the above clip is when this trio busts into Steph's pre-game ritual of doing the dance from the Jones' BBQ and Foot Massage parody commercial that went viral in 2009.
And so Justin didn't feel left out or anything, the trio later danced to his hit "SexyBack" after he crushed a line drive at the 17th hole.
Though none of these three ended up winning the tournament (that distinction went to former MLB All-Star pitcher Mark Mulder), they definitely won us over with this charming display.
But is working with JT as amazing as it seems? See what his frequent collaborator Andy Samberg and his Lonely Island cohorts had to say earlier this year on Watch What Happens Live.
