Kandi Burruss Opens Up a Bit More About Her Late Aunt, Clarifies She's Not One of the OLGs
The Real Housewives of Atlanta restaurateur lost the family member over the holidays.
In the wake of the loss of her Aunt Hazel, Kandi Burruss has taken to Twitter to clarify a bit more information regarding her late relative, noting that she was not one of the OLGs (Old Lady Gang). The Real Housewives of Atlanta restaurateur clarified the relationship after a fan asked her about it on Twitter.
"No, that’s my Aunt Bertha & she’s still alive. My Aunt Hazel is the one who passed away. She was never on RHOA. I have a really big family. My mom was the youngest of 14 siblings. There is only 5 of them left now," she wrote.
Kandi first shared the news of Hazel's passing on Instagram on December 27, writing, "Why does it always seem like we lose loved ones around the holidays? Please keep my family in your prayers."
At the time, she did not provide any other information about her aunt's passing, but did share a throwback snapshot of her beloved family member.
To clarify, Kandi works closely with her mom, Joyce Jones, as well as two of her aunts, Bertha Jones and Nora Wilcox, on their Old Lady Gang restaurants in the Atlanta area.
