The series premiere of  SWV & XSCAPE: The Queens of R&B is upon us, which means we can expect plenty of amazing music, moments of sisterhood, and drama. It also means we can expect more from Kandi Burruss: The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member is one of the founding members of '90s platinum R&B group XSCAPE.

How to Watch

Catch up on SWV & XSCAPE: The Queens of R&B on Peacock or the Bravo App.

At the Los Angeles series premiere event for the show, airing Monday, March 5 at 9:30/8:30c on Bravo, Kandi opened up about how the other Atlanta Housewives feel about her music career.

When asked who was the biggest XSCAPE fan among the cast, Kandi had to laugh.

“I’m not sure who the biggest fan is,” Kandi admitted. “You know, nobody wants to admit to being a fan, but when the song comes on, they’re all singing the lyrics!”

That being said, she was clear she really does feel their support — and has even seen it in action at her concerts.

“I definitely have seen Marlo [Hampton] at my shows," Kandi told The Daily Dish. “I’ve seen a few of the girls. When they found out we were coming to Atlanta, they were like, “Oh, we want to come to the show!’ So they’re good at supporting.”

In fact, the Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter said the Atlanta ladies have always been there for one another’s endeavors.

“[With any] of the Housewives, we all try to support each other’s businesses and whatever,” said Kandi. “They all have been supportive.”

XSCAPE, an Atlanta-based R&B and hip hop group consisting of Kandi, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, and sisters LaTocha Scott-Bivens and Tamika Scott, topped the music charts in the 1990s with hits such as “Just Kickin’ It,” “Understanding,” and “Feels So Good" after the group first formed in high school.

The award-winning quartet went on to deliver six top-10 singles and three platinum albums throughout the decade.

They've recently joined forces with fellow powerhouse '90s R&B group SWV (Sisters with Voices), featuring members Cheryl “Coko” Gamble, Tamara “Taj” Johnson-George, and Leanne “Lelee” Lyons for SWV x XSCAPE: The Queens of R&B. The two groups — which went head-to-head in 2020 during an epic Verzuz battle — appear in the six-part series, offering fans a VIP front-row seat into their personal and professional lives ahead of a one-night-only on-stage performance.

Tune in when SWV & XSCAPE: The Queen of R&B premieres March 5 at 9:30/8:30c on Bravo.
