Fun fact: Though he went on to rep Chicago to the fullest, Kanye Omari West entered this world 40 years ago today through the great city of Atlanta, Georgia. He is now raising two children in his adopted home of Southern California, where his family is celebrating today following a not inexpensive at all weekend jaunt to the Bahamas.

Thursday's celebrations seem to so far be mellow or at least below the public radar, but his wife, mother-in-law and sisters-in-law took time to wish him well on social media.

"Happy Birthday babe I love you so much!" wrote Kim Kardashian. "You inspire me every day to be a better person! I'm so grateful for you."

Kris Jenner meanwhile went big with a photo collage.

"Happy Birthday to my son #kanyewest!! You are an amazing Dad, amazing son, amazing brother and a beautiful soul who I love so very much," Kris wrote. "You bring such joy and are such an inspiration to all of us and we are beyond blessed to have you in our lives....I hope you have the most wonderful day filled with love."

Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian each took to Twitter to tease full birthday messages that were posted on their respective subscription-based websites and apps.

"Happy birthday to THE Kanye West! I’m so happy that you’re a part of our family. Thank you for being such a good hubby to Kim and an amazing father," Khloe wrote, while Kourtney posted a playlist of her favorite Kanye songs. Kanye was spotted by TMZ at a Wyoming resort several times in June; the publication speculated that he was there to work on new music.
