These Throwback Childhood Photos of Blonde(!) Katie Maloney Will Make Your Day

Vanderpump Rules' Katie Maloney has been known to sport many hair colors and hairstyles over the years. Although Katie had a brief foray into blonde hair on VPR Season 2, that shade of hair did make another appearance during a much earlier time in her life.
Katie can be seen with sandy blonde hair as a young girl in throwback photos of her as a kid. She looks so incredibly sweet in the her childhood snapshots from her childhood spent growing up in Park City, Utah before her big move to Los Angeles many years later. In one set of photos, Katie can be seen with darker blonde hair, wearing a leotard and lifting some weights. She looks so cute as a natural blonde, with her hair in a ponytail and her bangs cut straight across her face.
The Something About Her co-owner has gone through the spectrum of hair colors, rocking everything from a copper red hue in 2023, to a chestnut brown color in 2019. So, it's nice to see what her natural hair color looks like every now and then.

As previously stated, Katie went blonde for Season 2 of VPR. In a behind-the-scenes video, captured by her then-boyfriend, Tom Schwartz, Katie can be seen with a longer bob, dyed a honey blonde hue.
"Bubba, you're blonde!" Tom said in the video.
"I'm like a shade of blonde," she clarified. "It's sort of like a caramel-y, like honey kind of color. Kind of orange-y."
In March 2020, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Katie maybe seemingly hinted at regretting her foray into blonde hair. Katie, at the time, had commented on a VPR Season 2 cast photo on Instagram, where she joked about emerging with this hairstyle in the future. "I'm going to come out of quarantine with this hair again, y'all," she wrote in the comments of the post.

However, in an interview with Stylecaster in March 2015, Katie admitted that she would love to go back to being blonde "one day." "I want to be platinum blonde, but it's so hard on your hair," she said at the time.
"I have really thick, strong hair so it could almost take it, but the amount of upkeep...for being really into beauty and makeup, I'm also super low maintenance," she added. "I think that I would get totally fed up of having to constantly go in and get my hair touched up. But I would like to experiment with hair color more, but I just don't know if that's just a dream I have to give up."
Nearly a decade later, Katie's current sleek, chin grazing cut, seems to be the right, low maintenance hair style for her. But who knows? Maybe a blonde switch up is in her future.
