Katie Reveals What It Was Like to Film Vanderpump Rules with Tom Amid Divorce, Raquel Drama
Ahead of Vanderpump Rules Season 10, Katie also revealed where she stands with both Raquel Leviss and Lala Kent.
The Vanderpump Rules Season 10 trailer not only confirmed the romance rumors about Tom Schwartz and Raquel Leviss but also teased the fallout that occurs as a result. And nobody was more affected by said fallout than Tom’s ex-wife, Katie Maloney.
The You’re Gonna Love Me podcast host discussed the drama for herself on her show’s January 13 episode while answering fan-submitted questions, one of which asked, “Was this season hard to film because of the divorce and Tom’s questionable antics?”
“You f--king bet it was,” Katie responded. “That was a huge thing because it was still a very tender subject, a very tender time in our lives. We were exploring and still kinda navigating the friendship between us, and that whole aspect of it all was still new to both of us.”
The former couple had also “just barely moved out of our house,” Katie added. “So there [were] still a lot of things that were new to the both of us. You throw filming into the mix of all that, and yeah, it was definitely, definitely very difficult.”
As such, she was initially “nervous” to watch the Season 10 trailer. However, at the same time, “it’s been a long time coming, and I know people were anxious and waiting for it to come out.”
Rest assured, the season is worth the wait. “It’s gonna be a good one,” Katie said. “I know a lot of people are saying that it feels like ‘old-school Vanderpump Rules’ and I totally agree.”
Katie continued to answer fans’ questions throughout the podcast episode and was eventually asked if she’s “still friends” with Raquel. Her answer? ”Nope.”
She gave a similar response when another fan wrote, “Are you and Lala [Kent] on good terms still? Vibes are off.”
Replied Katie, “Vibes are definitely off.”
