Gizelle Bryant Says "Not Everybody Was Happy" When She Invited Katie Rost to Hang with The Real Housewives of Potomac

What Do The Real Housewives of Potomac Really Think of Katie Rost's Return?

Katie Rost is back to hang with The Real Housewives of Potomac this season, and she's already left quite the impression on the crew. And that's exactly what Gizelle Bryant expected when she decided to invite the alum to join in on some of the Potomac Housewives' adventures this season.

How to Watch

"I was missing Katie, and I really just kind of wanted to know what was going on with her. I had seen her out off-camera, so I felt like it'd be great to just bring her back to the group and have her have some girlfriends that could really support her," Gizelle told The Daily Dish earlier this season, which you can check out in the above video. "And Katie's a fun girl, like you never know what you're gonna get out of Katie."

Gizelle added she "was very happy" to welcome Katie back into the fold, although "not everybody was happy about it." Find out which Potomac Housewives Gizelle said didn't seem "too happy" to hang with Katie again in the above clip.

But according to Gizelle, the Katie we're seeing in Season 4 is not the same Katie fans met in the very first season of RHOP. "She is by far crazier than Season 1, like bonafide," she said. "But she owns it. You know, Katie owns all of her nonsense, and she's OK with it."

Karen Huger also teased that we should prepare to "be surprised" by Katie this season of RHOP. "Katie brings Katie," she told The Daily Dish. "But she brings fun and drama, too. Katie brings it all. And she brings reality. And she's so fun."

Monique Samuels met Katie briefly at one of her charity events after she joined the RHOP squad in Season 2. However, she seemed like a whole new Katie to Monique when they reunited this season.

"I had one perception of her in my mind, and then when I actually met her, I was like, whoa! She's a totally different person of what I thought she would be, because I remember she was like the prim and proper, go to the balls, and all of that. So I'm thinking she's gonna be kind of like stuck up and saditty," Monique said. "And then when I met her, she's like super down-to-earth, very free-spirited. I was completely shocked. I was like, wow, she's a breath of fresh air. She'll tell it how it is. Whatever she's thinking, it's like word vomit, like it's gonna come out however it comes out, and she has no shame behind it."

Candiace Dillard Bassett's introduction to Katie at the party for Ashley Darby's uncle wasn't exactly what the newest Potomac Housewife expected. After learning that Candiace had just gotten married a few days before the party, Katie told her, "I wish I'd met you five days ago, because I would have given you a warning: Don't do it." Katie later clarified that she "just meant marriage is tough, but it's great."

She admitted that Katie's comment caught her off-guard during an interview with The Daily Dish. But she was quickly able to look past that once she got to know Katie. "She's very funny," Candiace said. "She's very dry humor, which is my kind of humor, so we got off to a good start, I think."

Candiace said it was also important for her to formulate her own opinion of Katie instead of basing it off some of the "crazy things" she heard from the other ladies. "With this group, you're always gonna get a little bit of a backstory. I choose not to take what they say because some of us are a little messy," Candiace explained. "But when I met her, I was like, 'OK, I can deal with her.'"
