Kelly Bensimon Won't Recover Her Stolen Jewelry
The #RHONY alum shares an update on the items missing after the August theft.
The Real Housewives of New York alum Kelly Bensimon will not be able to recover the $50,000 worth of jewelry stolen from her car over the summer. Among the items stolen from her Cadillac Escalade, which was broken into while the model was on a business trip in Martha's Vineyard, included Hermes and Cartier bracelets, a Daytona watch, and Mauboussin diamond ring. "I just learned that my jewelry wont ever be recovered," she wrote on Twitter on Wednesday (November 11), following the August theft. "I left it in the car. I made the mistake, I need to be accountable for the loss."
At the time, Kelly opened up to The Daily Dish about why the loss was particularly hard on her. "These pieces of jewelry are not just objects, but my favorite pieces that I wear everyday! They are my signature pieces!" she said in August. "These were to be passed on to my daughters as heirlooms, so that is obviously upsetting."
