Have you ever wanted to party with Bravolebs? Well, our digital series, Bravo After Hours, offers viewers the opportunity to paint the town red with some of our very own, as well as host and Everybody Curses, I Swear! author Carrie Keagan. And, she's learning during her hangout session with Kelly Dodd just what it takes to win the recently-single SoCal mom's heart.
Kelly Dodd announced she and her husband, Michael Dodd, were divorcing back in September. And when she sat down with Carrie Keagan on Season 2 of Bravo After Hours, The Real Housewives of Orange County mom opened up a bit about her life now as a single mom and if she's started to date at all (which you can check out in the video above).
Since Carrie got to spend some time with Kelly, she opened up about what it was like to hang with The Real Housewives of Orange County mom these days. The Daily Dish caught up with Carrie, via email, and she reflected on their night out.
What did you think of Kelly's place?
Carrie Keagan: OMFG she turned a part of her living room into a walk-in f---ing closet!!! Who would ever have thought to do that?!?!?! And the best part is, she didn't have to give up that amazing view!
What makes for the perfect bachelorette pad?
I love being surrounded by things that makes me feel comfortable, happy, proud and strong! Every corner of your single lady space should reflect a part of you so that when you have guests over (or a hot date) they know what kind of night they're in for. I mean, I can understand the concerned face when that potential special someone steps into my place and eyes my My Little Pony collection, but these things are valuable! Its part of my retirement fund for Christ sake!
How would you describe single Kelly?
Kelly is going through a huge transition in her life, but she seems to be handling it very well. She's already got her eye on the milkman!! Dating sucks after being in a relationship for so long, but I think she's going to enjoy getting out there and playing the field a bit.
Do you watch The Real Housewives of Orange County, and if so what surprised you most about Kelly? And even if you don’t watch, what about her stood out to you?
Kelly is a great hang! She's funny and super generous ... but she squeezes her toothpaste from the middle so...
[Ed. note: More on that in video above!]
Were you surprised to hear about what it’s like to date/be single in the OC?
Dating sucks no matter what city you're in! It's all a numbers game. You have to kiss a lot of Shreks before you find a prince.
What are some key relationship deal breakers [for you]?
If I am on a date and the guy is sh--ty to our waiter, I'm out! Don't take me to dinner only to have my food spit in! HELL NO!
