Kelly Dodd Sends Love to Fiancé Rick Leventhal During His Work Trip to Israel
The RHOC cast member urged her soon-to-be husband to "be safe" as he travels overseas.
After ringing in the new year with fiancée Kelly Dodd, it’s back to work for Rick Leventhal. The Fox News senior correspondent is heading to Israel on assignment, and Kelly is making sure to some support for her man as he travels overseas.
In an Instagram post on January 3, The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member sent some love to her soon-to-be husband by sharing a photo of the two of them posing together on New Year’s Eve. “I miss you already @rickleventhal be safe in Jerasulem!! I love you so much,” she wrote in the caption, also adding, “What an amazing journalist!!”
Rick posted his own message to Kelly on the same day. “I miss you so much already,” he wrote alongside another photo of the couple.
Rick also made sure to show his support for his bride-to-be amid the recent backlash she received for posting a photo of herself with Donald Trump’s sons, Eric and Donald Trump Jr. After the picture, taken at the wedding of Rick’s Fox News’ colleague Jesse Watters, sparked attention on social meda, Kelly spoke to TMZ about the photo, explaining they shared mutual friends and that "we simply went to their wedding."
“I’m so proud of the way you handled the Trump family photo with @TMZ @tmz_tv,” Rick wrote in reference to the event in the caption of his post.
Upon seeing his post, Kelly left a comment, writing, “Be safe in Tel Aviv… I’ll be watching on @foxnews…I love you so much!! Thank you for your support and love!”
She also added, “I miss laughing with you every second…I’ll be praying for you my love.”
Rick’s trip comes as the couple is in the midst of planning their upcoming wedding, which will reportedly take place on October 10 (aka 10/10/20). The duo got engaged last November following a whirlwind summer romance.
Kelly was previously married to Michael Dodd with whom she shares one child, 13-year-old daughter Jolie. They finalized their divorce in February 2018.
