Kim Kardashian's Ex-Assistant Shared a Post That Could Be a Dig at Her Former Employer
The former Kardashian bestie referred to "letting go of a bad friend."
Kim Kardashian had a tough decision to make back in November, when she reportedly fired her longtime assistant Stephanie Shepherd. Though Shepherd had been a good assistant, according to reports, things took a turn when she assumed a new role as COO of Kardashian West brands. Plus, Shepherd was close pals with all the Kardashian sisters, which blurred the line between work and play. Still, all seemed to be relatively peaceful between Shepherd and Kardashian — until the former assistant shared a social media post that could contain a subtle dig.
On November 30, Shepherd took to Instagram stories to share her thoughts on self-care. The Kardashian family friend pointed out that caring for oneself doesn't just mean slapping on a fancy face mask or taking a lavish bath. It can also mean going to bed early or — and here's where things get interesting — "letting go of a bad friend."

Now, in terms of Internet shade, this post doesn't even come close to some of the celebrity disses we've seen in the past (hi there, Kanye.) While it's possible that Shepherd was referring to Kardashian in that line about "a bad friend," it's also completely normal to take some time for reflection — and a little extra self-love — after a big life change such as leaving a job. Maybe Shepherd's taking inventory of everything in her life right now, including non-Kardashian people who have hurt her.
And, we can certainly dig Shepherd's advice about turning in early. In fact, after reading this, we may cancel tonight's plans and bring on the face masks and catch up on some Zs ourselves. What's so shady about that?
