Kristen Doute Reveals Why the SUR Crew Won't Forgive James Kennedy and Lala Kent
"I take full responsibility for bringing James into this group, and I apologize on the daily," she said.
James Kennedy and Lala Kent are on the outs this season of Vanderpump Rules, which was made abundantly clear when the crew pulled a "You can't sit with us" at the OK! magazine party in the premiere (clip above). And if they're looking for some help in getting back on the group's good side, they're definitely not going to find it from Kristen Doute.
The Vanderpump Rules star said that although she once found herself similarly iced out from the group, she doesn't have any empathy for James and Lala during their plight, even if she did kind of help bring James into the group by dating him following her break-up with Tom Sandoval. "I got some backlash on social media kind of saying the same thing that one would think that I could understand what it's like," she told The Daily Dish. "I take full responsibility for bringing James into this group, and I apologize on the daily... It's so my fault."
But the fact that James and Lala, who joined the squad last season of Vanderpump Rules, are so new to the group means that they haven't built up the same deep and complex relationships with the rest of the SURvers through the years, which is why they're not so inclined to continue the friendship, according to Kristen. "We don't have a history with them, and I think there's really something huge to be said for having history, hence why someone like Stassi [Schroeder] can even be in the same room with Jax [Taylor]. It's just we've all been through so much together through so many years," she said. "It's not as if one of our best friends hurt our feelings, so we can just forgive. It's just these two random people that continue to be rude and crude and mean. It's just kind of like, it's not worth our time."
