Kyle Cooke Gives an Update on His & Amanda Batula's "Imminent" Baby Plans
The Summer House cast member says he and his wife are "trying to sort a few things out" before starting a family.
Although he doesn’t exactly have baby fever, Kyle Cooke believes fatherhood is right around the corner.
The Summer House cast member revealed this during a recent red-carpet interview about what's next for him and Amanda Batula and their plans to start a family.
“I want kids,” he told Page Six. “Amanda and I [are] kind of trying to figure out what’s next. We got a lot going on, obviously. But you know, as my mom would say, ‘You can’t time things perfectly. There’s never going to be the right time.’”

So, does Kyle have an idea of when he and Amanda will start their pregnancy journey? Not exactly, but he told the outlet they may start the process soon.
“I would say that it’s pretty imminent,” he continued. “But we’re trying to sort a few things out.”
Amanda Batula believes Kyle will "thrive" as a father
Kyle and Amanda said their “I dos” in September 2021, roughly six years after they started dating. Like many couples, the New York City husband and wife had their fair share of disagreements about their next steps, including where to buy a home and when to start a family. Amanda addressed the latter in an April interview with Us Weekly, saying Kyle had an aversion to major life changes.
“I think Kyle has historically always felt that he needed everything lined up,” she explained. “When it was getting married, getting engaged, getting an apartment — everything, he’s always felt he needed to be 100% ready for [it], like, prepared. Even with our dogs, he was so hesitant, and now that we have them, everything is great.
“I think it’ll be a situation where I’m just going to have to, like, trick him into getting me pregnant and then he’s going to thrive once it happens,” she joked. “But if you ask him when he is ready, he’s always going to say no.”

Amanda also clarified that she wasn’t in a rush to get pregnant, but believed it would happen within the next year or two.
“I’m not getting any younger,” she said. “We were just with some friends who were a little older, and they were like, ‘Just freeze your embryos now just so you have them.’ And it made me really nervous thinking about, ‘OK, I can have kids right now, but this is the time I have to prepare for the future depending on what happens.’”
What's next for Amanda and Kyle?
While preparing to launch her eponymous swimsuit line, Amanda spoke to The Daily Dish about her and Kyle's house-hunting process. Amanda confirmed she and her hubby had yet to leave their Manhattan apartment but were searching for a new place within the city — preferably one they could "grow into with a family."
"Right now that’s sort of what we’re focused on," she explained. "But there is no pressure. According to Kyle, he has been looking. So when the right place comes up, we’ll snatch it. Otherwise, we’ll have to wait for when the pressure’s on and we [have] to move out. But right now we’re in our same spot... We’ll probably continue living in the city for a bit longer."
