Kyle Richards Reveals She'll Be Behind the Camera in Her "Fun" New Job Roles
The RHOBH cast member "just sold" a few projects she's planning to work on next.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans are quite familiar with seeing Kyle Richards in front of the camera, but she's getting ready to take on a few projects that will bring her behind the camera.
During an Amazon Live stream on August 27, the diamond holder revealed that she has two new projects in the works.
"I just sold two projects — TV shows that I would be executive producing and working on that right now, so that’s fun for me to do stuff behind the camera," she shared during the livestream.
Kyle, who previously acted in projects like Little House on the Prairie and the Halloween film series, and who executive produced American Woman, teased that she may be taking on multiple roles in one of her aforementioned new projects.
"I'll probably be in front of the camera on one as well," she said. "But I really like being behind the camera a lot."
Kyle didn't share any other details about the forthcoming projects, but she has plenty of experience when it comes to working both behind and in front of the camera.
Kyle Richards' past TV work includes Little House on the Prairie and American Woman
Long before she picked up a diamond on Season 1 of RHOBH, Kyle and her older sister, Kim Richards, were child actresses.
One of Kyle's first major roles was appearing in 18 episodes of Little House on the Prairie. Kyle played Alicia Sanderson Edwards in the NBC series, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary in September 2024. She also played a character named Samantha Harper in one episode on Season 5 before she returned to her role as Alicia.
Kyle's older sister, Kim, also took on a minor role as Olga Nordstrom in one episode in the first season of the series.
In the late '70s, Kyle took on the role of Lindsey Wallace in the Halloween horror movie series. She appeared alongside Jamie Lee Curtis, who has since become a close friend of hers (and who recently appeared on Season 12 of RHOBH).
In addition to her acting work, Kyle worked behind the camera for the first time when she produced American Woman. The show was inspired by Kyle, Kim, and Kathy Hilton's mom, Kathleen Richards.
The sitcom ran for one season before it was canceled.
