Kyle Richards Reveals Exciting News About Portia's College Plans: "We're Going to Be..."
RHOBH's Kyle Richards shared what's next for her youngest daughter, Portia Umansky.
Throughout the last 14 Seasons of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, fans have watched Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky's daughter Portia Umansky grow from an adorable toddler to a 16-year-old with a diver's license. Now, as Kyle revealed at Bravo Fan Fest, her youngest child is ready to take a major step in her education journey.
During the Tour de Wives panel on November 23, Kyle reflected on her RHOBH experience while sharing an update on Portia's college search.
"I started this show when Portia was in diapers and sleeping in a crib. You saw Season 1, I was laying in a crib with her trying to get her to sleep," Kyle said. "Now we're going to be touring colleges in the spring."
Where does Kyle Richards' daughter Portia Umansky want to go to college?
Although Portia is just about to start looking at colleges, she already has a future school in mind.
"She wants to go, she thinks, to the University of Miami for sports management," Kyle shared during a September Amazon Live stream. "She was a manager of the boys' tennis team and the basketball team, and now she's just like, 'I like to boss people around.'"
Kyle Richards Reacts to Portia Umansky getting her driver's license
While Kyle seemed excited to go tour colleges with Portia, she had mixed feelings about her youngest getting a driver's license earlier this year.
In a February interview with The Daily Dish, Kyle admitted, "That is very stressful for any mom."
"[Portia is] extremely responsible," she added. "And she's doing great driving, [but] no matter what happens, it's really scary."
During an August Amazon Live, Kyle declared, "My job is over" while talking about no longer needing to drive her daughter to school. "This is very depressing."
"I mean, I've been a mom for a million years and I've been having to get up and take a child to school for as far as I can remember, all my adult life, and now I don't have to drive her to school anymore," she continued. "And, oh my gosh, it's just so wild to me," Kyle said. "Usually I'm up, then I work out, I take her to school, and then I come back and I go to work."
Kyle added that Portia getting her license has changed their day-to-day dynamic. "Now I'm like, 'What will I do with that extra time and how will I catch up with her in the morning when she's so busy?'" Kyle said. "Now she does errands because she drives. I'm like, 'Where are you Portia?' She's like, 'Oh, I'm doing some errands.' I think she really loves saying that too."
