The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills mom revealed the new piece in an August 10 Instagram Story featuring her daughters Farrah Brittany and Sophia Umansky. The post showed the women posing side-by-side as they showed off their matching ribcage tattoos that simply read, “lucky.”

Hours before Kyle’s post, Sophia shared a video of her and her family getting inked up by Los Angeles-based artist Wesley Austin.

“Matching tattoos with mommy & [Farrah],” she captioned the August 9 TikTok, which was filmed inside Kyle’s Encino home.

Sophia teased her mother’s tattoo just a couple of days earlier when she posted a day-in-the-life video with her older sister/coworker Alexia Umansky. Sophia attended an open house, grabbed a bite to eat, and did a bit of shopping before joining her sisters at their mother’s home.

“Now, I’m going downstairs,” the George Washington University alum said in the vlog. “My mom has some friends over. They’re getting tattoos down there and drinking wine and hanging out.”

The video then cut to Kyle lying on a tattoo bed.

“Are you excited?!” Sophia asked her mom.

“Yeah,” Kyle replied with a smile.

Kesha thanks Kyle Richards for her tattoo suggestion

The video then showed singer-songwriter Kesha sitting in Kyle’s living room while Wesley tattooed her forearm. Kesha revealed her “Joy Ride” piece via Instagram, admitting she went into the appointment with a much different vision.

“Chickened out on the lower back,” Kesha wrote in a Story. “Would have been so tho. Thanks [Kyle] and [Wesley] for helping me make good choices. Opted for a nice little arm tattoo like a nice lady.”

Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky clash over tattoos

Kyle’s tattoo collection became a point of contention between her and her now-estranged husbandMauricio Umansky. In the RHOBH Season 13 premiere (October 25, 2023), Kyle told Mauricio she had expanded her tattoo collection with two more pieces, bringing the total number to five.

“Seriously? I only knew of three,” Mauricio said, to which Kyle replied, “Well maybe you should be looking at my body closer.”

The Beverly Hills mom also expressed her desire to “get another one”; however, Mauricio wasn’t on board.

“I think that’s enough, yeah?" he said. “Five tattoos are a lot... I will not allow that.”

“If I want to, I will,” Kyle fired back. “You don’t even know how many I have. If I want one, I’m gonna get one. It’s my body… You don’t have a choice.”
