Lala Kent Is Making a Major Home Change: "So Not Cool..."
The Vanderpump Rules mom shared her plans to upgrade her bedroom: "I can't wait to show you guys!"
Lala Kent is getting a bedroom makeover.
While preparing for her family’s Thanksgiving getaway, the Vanderpump Rules mom gave fans a little taste of her next home renovation project. The mother of two took to Instagram on Wednesday, November 27, to share a quick video of her sleeping quarters and her plans to remove an inconvenient window.
Lala Kent teases her next house project
The Story began with Lala watching her newborn, Sosa Kent, through a baby monitor as she walked toward her nearly empty bedroom. The space had a mattress leaning up against a wall, a couple of spring boxes near the fireplace, and other accent pieces pushed to the side.
“While baby is sleeping, I did this. I did all of this, you guys,” Lala said in the clip. “Well, I did not disassemble the bed but I did the rest of this. Because, while I’m away, I will be doing construction on my bedroom.”

The Utah native then pointed to a small window she planned to remove for privacy and aesthetic reasons.
“So, this window that looks directly into my neighbor’s house — so not cool — [we’re] covering it up, adding a window here, OK?” she explained while highlighting the opposite wall.
Lala said she would upgrade her window treatments and install “fabulous” hotel-like, automated blackout shades. She also confirmed her bedroom was getting new furniture pieces — some she bought and others she inherited.
“A new bed is coming today. I got these gorgeous nightstands,” she continued. “These chairs were my grandmother’s but I don’t know that they’re gonna go with the decor of the room, so I’m not quite sure. A new chandelier is being dropped in. I can’t wait to show you guys the after!”
Lala explains her window issue: "I have a personal vendetta..."
Lala returned to the ’Gram several minutes later to shed more light on her bedroom window woes.
“Last thing that needs to be celebrated before I sign off, once this window goes away, I get to center my bed,” she said before sharing a closeup of her old nightstand. “What is this? This is the smallest nightstand on the planet, and it had to be right near the wall because of this freakin’ window. I have a personal vendetta against this window.”
As Lala expressed her frustration, she noticed her firstborn daughter, Ocean Kent Emmett, was watching from the hallway.
“Hi, beautiful!” Lala told her 3-year-old girl.
“Where’s your bed?” Ocean asked, causing her mom to laugh. “Where did you take it?”

Lala’s home upgrade will take place nearly three months after she welcomed Sosa via intrauterine insemination (IUI). She spoke about her new chapter just several weeks after giving birth, admitting she had recruited extra help from professional caregivers.
“The exhaustion has sunk in. I am a little tired,” she said in a September Instagram. “I had a night nurse three days a week. I am now at seven. That is right, I have one [night nurse] seven days a week. Shout out to all of my mommas doing the damn thing because you guys are superheroes.”
