It’s been two weeks since Lala Kent welcomed her adorable little girl, baby Ocean Kent Emmett, into the world, and the new mom is opening up about how different her life has already become.

How to Watch

In an April 1 Instagram post, the Vanderpump Rules cast member shared a look at her new reality, providing a super honest update on how she’s doing.

“I posted this on my story, but feel like it deserves a little more than 24 hours. My face tells you how much life has changed,” Lala wrote alongside a photo of herself sitting on the floor, pumping breast milk. “I also think it is important to say this: so many people asked me if I was going to breastfeed. I thought this was a strange question because it’s not that simple. I know many women who struggled—whether the baby didn’t latch, milk wasn’t coming in, or it just wasn’t right for them. I was never married to the idea of breastfeeding because I didn’t want to feel disappointment or shame. That being said, I’m grateful my boobies are producing, but I know my baby is bonded to me regardless of what kind of nipple is in her mouth.”

In response to a follower who thanked her about opening up, Lala wrote, “I had no idea the judgement that came along with the idea of not breastfeeding. All that should matter is your baby is being fed. You’re a good mama, boo.”

The new mom also received some loving, supportive words from fellow Bravoleb, Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi of Shahs of Sunset, who wrote, “Hahaha yesss! Welcome mama!”
