The Official Vanderpump Rules Season 8 Trailer Is Here!

No, you were not hallucinating when you peeped Randall Emmett in the Season 8 trailer for Vanderpump Rules (clip above). After being the main man in Lala Kent's life for several years now, the Hollywood producer is slated to finally make his debut on on the show when it premieres on Tuesday, January 7 at 9/8c. So, how did Rand end up on the show?

How to Watch

Watch Vanderpump Rules on Bravo Tuesdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app.

“I had to do a lot of begging!” Lala told Us Weekly recently, noting that with him appearing alongside her she hopes fans finally understand their dynamic. “I get it, from afar, we don’t make much sense but then people that know us as a couple, they’re like, ‘They are perfect for each other.’”

Randall then added his side of the story with the publication. “She had to do a lot of begging. Here’s the thing, for three seasons she asked politely slash begged, and then we got to a point where we decided, she said, ‘Look please, it’ll be a nice thing to show who we really are.’ And … Lala gets her way. There you go. They make assumptions. But I think it was nice for us to just have some of our moments, and even though it was completely foreign and uncomfortable [for me] on every level, but I’m with my partner and my best friend so she made it OK and bearable," he said. "The best part is it will be nice to open up a little bit and show people how we are and take away the mystique. So, I’m petrified but excited that people get to see us.”

At BravoCon, Scheana Shay shared that she is also stoked for fans to get to witness the Lala-Randall dynamic for themselves, sharing with the audience earlier this month: "I'm so excited you'll get to see Lala and Randall on the show together this season."

As for the upcoming Lala-Randall nuptials, well, those will not be featured on the show, Lala confirmed to US weekly: “We will not be televising it. We’re boring. We’re boring with that stuff,” she said. “That’s a day I don’t want to open up for people to judge or criticize. The rest of my life is a free-for-all.”

Randall added, “We made the decision for us, some things I think should just be family, friends and obviously there will be pictures. That day we will keep to ourselves.”
