Lindsay Hubbard Speculates Who Leaked Her Pregnancy News: “Found Out Real Quick…”

The Summer House cast member — who just announced the birth of her daughter — said rumor started flying within one week of learning she was pregnant.

The Summer House cast member appeared virtually for Season 3, Episode 4 of the podcast while still pregnant with her first child: a daughter, Gemma Britt Kufe. While looking back at filming Season 9, which Lindsay said was “definitely a different summer,” the Manhattanite got candid about how fast the world learned she and her boyfriend were expecting a baby.

“Like, this is insane,” she said, reflecting on how the pregnancy news broke faster than anticipated. “I’ve been to one O.B. appointment, like, what the f-ck?”

Who leaked Lindsay Hubbard’s pregnancy news?

Lindsay said there were “endless rumors” in the public very early on about her expecting a child, but she's still not sure how people uncovered she was pregnant so quickly.

“I mean, they found out real quick,” Lindsay told Baskin. “Within one week of me finding out that I was pregnant — I’m not even joking — I had a reporter who we’re all very close with at Bravo [call] me up, and he’s like, ‘Hey, I’m hearing this rumor that you’re pregnant.’ And literally, in my mind, I’m like, ‘I just found out a week ago!’”

She said it was “so f-cked up,” and soon, it was “swirling around the media” and Bravo fan accounts, something she found stressful, especially during the first trimester.

“I was really, really stressed about the rumors, and then how I was gonna announce it and how I was gonna play it,” she admitted. “But it all worked out.”

Ultimately, Lindsay “excitedly” confirmed her pregnancy on Thursday, July 4, 2024, less than a year after she and Carl Radke called it quits.

Lindsay Hubbard talks being pregnant on Summer House

Upon learning she was pregnant, Lindsay said on Bravo's Hot Mic podcast that “there wasn’t too much thought” about juggling her filming schedule with her boyfriend and the baby news. After all, she said, Summer House was her “lifestyle” after nine years with the show.

Before her Fourth of July announcement, Lindsay could keep the news to herself, but it was public knowledge by the time cameras started rolling in earnest for Summer House. But, said the publicist, she was “very, very happy” that her first trimester was not filmed for Season 9, citing how women often decline to announce their pregnancies until certain milestones — such as the risk of miscarriage and genetic screening — has passed.

She also said the first trimester would have been “boring” to audiences, though filming through her second trimester “was great.”

“I had a lot of energy; I was growing; I had fun with it, and to be honest with you, it was so much fun being able to celebrate openly after I announced and celebrate with everyone in the house,” said Lindsay. “It almost felt like we were having a joint, collective baby.”

She added it was “a lot of fun” since it was the first time the group filmed with “a pregnant chick.”

“I think it gave me the opportunity to almost show a different side of me that maybe viewers haven’t seen before or maybe that haven’t paid attention to because I’m always drunk on all the other seasons,” she said. “But … I was really happy and giggly for the most part, and funny and cracking jokes and was able to have more deeper, intimate relationships form, I think, with really just everyone.”

Of course, she added, “with the exception of Carl.”
